Description

Comforting hand-held snacks filled with cheese and crispy crust, perfect for busy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour (gluten-free if necessary)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Mash them in a bowl and let cool.
  2. Mix in shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, then dip in water, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the potato balls until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels, serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

If the mashed mix is too sticky, chill it for 10 minutes to firm up. Use a tablespoon for even sizes and maintain medium-high oil heat.
