S’mores Rolled Rice Krispie Treats

Description

A fun and quick dessert reminiscent of campfire s’mores, made with simple pantry ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 ounces) miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (for filling)
  • Extra graham cracker crumbs (for rolling)
  • Chocolate for drizzling (optional)


Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add the miniature marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal and graham cracker crumbs, mixing until well combined.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then spread it out onto a large piece of wax paper or parchment paper.
  5. Press the mixture into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips evenly over the Rice Krispies mixture.
  7. Carefully roll the mixture tightly to form a log, using the wax paper to help with the rolling.
  8. Roll the log in extra graham cracker crumbs to coat the outside.
  9. Drizzle melted chocolate over the top, if desired.
  10. Slice into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, keep the marshmallow glossy and avoid burning it. Chill for a few minutes to aid in rolling if your kitchen is warm.
