Description

Delightful cinnamon rolls filled with peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon, topped with a creamy frosting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups diced peaches (fresh or canned, drained if using canned)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add granulated sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the bowl. Pour in the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  4. Mix diced peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a large rectangle (about 1/4 inch thick). Evenly spread the peach mixture over the dough.
  6. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake the rolls for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy, while the rolls are baking.
  10. Drizzle the frosting over the rolls while still warm.

Notes

For best results, drain canned peaches well to avoid a soupy filling. A quick rest with brown sugar softens firm peaches nicely.
