Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

Description

A comforting and fragrant cinnamon swirl banana bread that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  8. Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a separate bowl.
  9. Pour half of the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan.
  10. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  11. Pour the remaining batter over and then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  12. Use a knife to swirl the batter gently.
  13. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  14. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

Wrap the loaf after cooling to keep it from drying out. It can be stored at room temperature for the first 48 hours.
